Astros Lose To Blue Jays

The Astros had their three-game win streak snapped north of the border. Houston lost to the Toronto Blue Jays 7-6 in the series opener at the Rogers Centre. Yordan Alvarez hit his 18th home run of the season on a three-run shot in the fifth inning. Alvarez finished the game 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a pair of runs scored. Jose Altuve, Jake Meyers and Cesar Salazar also drove-in a run in the setback. Starting pitcher Spencer Arrighetti was charged with the loss after allowing seven runs through four frames. The Astros are 43-and-42 heading into another matchup with Toronto tonight. Right-hander Ronel Blanco will start opposite Blue Jays southpaw Yusei Kikuchi.
