An important position is about to open up in Bexar County's Elections Department. As of Friday, the Elections Department accepted the resignation of Jacquelyn Callanen, the county's elections administrator. Callanen resigned following negative public comment during the Election Commission's meeting on Friday afternoon. Some people complained about what they saw as her lack of transparency in the position, which she's held for 19-years. Callanen will continue to serve through the November election.
