Two former police officers are reportedly under indictment for their part in the bungled police response to the Uvalde school shooting in 2022. Two officials familiar with the situation say a grand jury indicted Pete Arredondo, the former chief of the Uvalde CISD police, and Adrian Gonzales, a former school police officer. Arredondo and Gonzalez reportedly face charges of injury to a child by omission. A teenage shooter killed 19 children and two teachers at Robb Elementary School.
