Texas State University won't be hosting a presidential debate this year after all. The San Marcos school was scheduled to host the first debate of the 2024 election season on September 16th. But President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump bypassed the Commission on Presidential Debates in order to schedule their own standoffs. The commission released Texas State from its contract on Monday, along with three other colleges. Biden and Trump engage in their first debate on Thursday in Atlanta.
