Texas has hired former Texas A&M coach Jim Schlossnagle to take over the Longhorns program. Schlossnagle led the Aggies to their first national championship series this year and went 135-and-62 in his three seasons with the team. He will reunite with Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte, who was his boss at TCU from 2004-to-2021. The Longhorns parted ways with David Pierce on Monday. Schlossnagle becomes just the seventh baseball coach at Texas since 1911.
