San Antonio residents say they want the city budget for fiscal year 2025 to prioritize streets and the cleanup of homeless encampments. A market research company surveyed more than a thousand San Antonians in May and presented the results to the City Council on Thursday. Rounding out the respondents' top five budget priorities were services for the homeless, sidewalks, and police services. Affordable housing and Animal Care Services fell out of the top-five this year, though they still ranked as high-priority items.
