Six Flags corporate headquarters is expected to move out of Arlington upon completion of its merger with Ohio-based Cedar Fair. The $8 billion deal is scheduled to close on July 1st. Six Flags Entertainment Corporation will be headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, home of a number of Cedar Fair executives. The expanded company will operate more than 40 amusement and water parks, including Schlitterbahn, plus about a dozen resorts. Company officials say the merger will help them compete with Disney.
