A super PAC supporting Sen. Ted Cruz's reelection is reporting a million-dollar donation from the owner of the Dallas Mavericks. Miriam Adelson is the widow of Sheldon Adelson, who founded the Sands casino empire. As a billionaire in the casino business, she supports efforts to legalize gambling in Texas. Her donation to the Truth and Courage PAC was the largest single gift the group received in May. The PAC is independent of Cruz's official campaign.
