City leaders are discussing how federal housing money should be spent in the budget of Fiscal Year 2025. The city receives four federal entitlement grants from the Department of Housing and Urban Development. At a public meeting on Tuesday, city officials said San Antonio expects to receive about $23 million in total grant funds in the coming year. The proposal of what to do with the funds focuses on the two areas of housing rehabilitation for low-income residents and affordable housing development.
