Six Flags Merges With Parent Company Of Schlitterbahn

Texas-based Six Flags is merging with the parent company of Schlitterbahn. Six Flags officials announced on Tuesday that its merger with Cedar Fair will be finalized on July 1st. The $8 billion deal will put all of Cedar Fair's properties under the control of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. Cedar Fair operates 17 amusement parks and 11 resorts, including Schlitterbahn locations in New Braunfels and Galveston. Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio is one of 27 amusement parks operated by Six Flags.
