Oklahomans went to the polls on Tuesday to vote in the state's primary election.
Three Oklahoma congressmen are one step closer to earning another term. First District Congressman Kevin Hern, Third District Congressman Frank Lucas and Fourth District Congressman Tom Cole each won their respective Republican primaries in yesterday's election. Dennis Baker won the First Congressional District Democratic primary, and Mary Brannon won the Democratic primary in the Fourth Congressional District.
A proposed lodging tax increase is approved in Edmond. Voters in Edmond approved the lodging tax increase in yesterday's election. The lodging tax will increase from four percent to six percent, and money raised through the tax will go towards Visit Edmond to help promote the city.
