Texas To Receive $61M+ In J&J Settlement Of Baby Powder Lawsuit

Texas will receive more than $61 million from Johnson & Johnson as part of a nationwide settlement over baby powder safety claims. Attorney General Ken Paxton announced the windfall on Tuesday. Paxton and 42 other attorneys general had sued the pharmaceutical giant over its baby powder containing talc, which is made with asbestos. Johnson & Johnson settled the lawsuit for $700 million and has agreed to stop selling talc products.
