A man is in custody and accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend twice on the West Side. Police responded around 4 p.m. Monday to the reported shooting on Culebra Road near Ingram. They found a woman at a McDonalds with gunshot wounds to her hand and thigh. She told officers her ex-boyfriend had brake-checked her in traffic, causing her to rear-end him. As she drove through a parking lot, the suspect shot at her car several times and wounded her. She's hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Police arrested the man when he called them to report a traffic accident involving his ex-girlfriend.
