The Astros lost their series opener to the Giants in extra innings. Houston fell to San Francisco 4-3 in a 10-inning contest at Oracle Park. Alex Bregman, Victor Caratini and Jeremy Pena each had an RBI for Houston. Rafael Montero was charged with the loss after allowing three runs in the 10th. The Astros have lost two in-a-row to slip to 30-and-37. They visit the Giants again tonight. Right-hander Ronel Blanco will start opposite San Francisco righty Jordan Hicks.
