The Texas softball team will not claim its first national title this year. The top-ranked Longhorns lost to second-ranked Oklahoma 8-4 in Game Two of the best-of-three championship series in Oklahoma City. Kayden Henry, Mia Scott and Alyssa Washington each had an RBI in the defeat. Estelle Czech was charged with the loss after she allowed three runs through two innings of relief. This is the second time in the last three years that Texas will finish as the national runner-up.
