National GOP Targets Cuellar's South Texas Congressional District

Republicans in the U.S. House are targeting Democratic U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar's District 28 for flipping in this year's election. Cuellar is under a federal indictment for bribery, money laundering, and working for a foreign government. The National Republican Congressional Committee plans to spend heavily to support Cuellar's challenger, Navy veteran Jay Furman, who won last month's GOP primary runoff in the district. District 28 stretches from San Antonio to the border.
