The Texas Rangers recorded their second straight shutout victory. Texas defeated the Miami Marlins 6-0 at LoanDepot Park. Adolis Garcia was 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs. Robbie Grossman, Travis Jankowski and Leody Taveras also brought home a run for the Rangers. Starting pitcher Andrew Heaney improved to 2-and-6 after striking out seven through six scoreless innings. The Rangers have won five of their last six and sit second in the AL West at 29-and-30. They return home to host the Detroit Tigers tonight. Right-hander Nathan Eovaldi will start opposite Detroit southpaw Tarik Skubal.
