Gov. Greg Abbott is celebrating the results of Tuesday night's primary runoff, which saw the defeat of three Texas House GOP incumbents who opposed his school choice legislation last year. Abbott-backed challengers unseated incumbents in four of six key Texas House districts in the runoffs. The governor congratulated the winners in an X post, and stated that there are now enough votes in the Texas legislature to pass the school choice bill in the 2025 session.
