The San Antonio Spurs were selected to receive the 4th and 8th picks in the upcoming NBA Draft during the NBA Draft Lottery on Sunday.
Despite just a 3% chance coming into the day to get the top pick, the Atlanta Hawks won the NBA Draft Lottery. Atlanta, who was projected to pick tenth, shot up the board to win the right to pick first in the upcoming draft, the fifth-lowest odds by a team to win the number one pick since the lottery began in 1985.
The Washington Wizards, Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs rounded out the top four. Unlike last season, there is not a clear front-runner for the selection.
