The Astros rattled off 18 hits in a 9-3 win over the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. The game was scoreless into the top of the sixth when Kyle Tucker hit a two-run homer to put Houston up for good. Jake Meyers added three RBI in the victory, while Justin Verlander earned his second win by striking out eight and holding Detroit to two hits in seven scoreless innings. The Astros have won three of their last four and sit fourth in the AL West at 15-and-25. They return home to host the Oakland Athletics tonight. Right-hander Spencer Arrighetti will start against Oakland righty Ross Stripling.
