Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick has a wish list of 57 items for Texas senators to consider when the 2025 legislative session starts next January. Patrick says the list was narrowed down from hundreds of ideas submitted by the state's 31 senators. As lieutenant governor, Patrick oversees the Senate and has power over which bills are passed into law. The list includes school choice, property tax cuts, strengthening the power grid, improving housing affordability, and fighting antisemitism on Texas college campuses.
