Lawyers for the owners of two dogs that attacked and killed a man last year are trying to get the charges dropped. Abilene Schnieder testified in a pretrial hearing on Wednesday. She and Christian Moreno are charged with injury to the elderly and dangerous dog attack resulting in death. An 81-year-old man was killed in the attack, and his wife was injured. The judge says she'll rule by June 17th on the defense team's motion to drop the charges. For now, jury selection for the trial is scheduled for August 30th.
