The Rangers will be without their All-Star third baseman for the foreseeable future. Texas third baseman Josh Jung underwent surgery Tuesday on his broken right wrist and will be sidelined for around six weeks. Jung was injured when he was hit by a pitch from Tampa Bay reliever Phil Maton in the ninth inning of the Rangers' win on Monday. The 26-year-old has been placed on the 10-day injured list, with infielder Justin Foscue being recalled from Triple-A Round Rock. Jung started the season hitting .412 with two home runs and six RBIs through four games.
