The Rangers will be without a member of their starting lineup to begin the new season. Texas right-hander Michael Lorenzen is set to start the season on the 15-day injured list. The plan is for the All-Star to build up endurance before making the move into the rotation. Lorenzen signed a one-year, $4.5 million contract with the Rangers last Friday. The 32-year-old went 9-and-9 with a 4.18 ERA while suiting up for the Detroit Tigers and Philadelphia Phillies last season.
