The Rangers are adding an experienced arm to the roster prior to the start of the regular season. ESPN reports that Texas is signing right-hander Michael Lorenzen to a one-year deal worth $4.5 million guaranteed. The contract can max out at $7 million with incentives. The 32-year-old tossed a no-hitter and was named an American League All-Star last season while playing for the Detroit Tigers. He was dealt to the Philadelphia Phillies at the trade deadline last summer. He was a combined 9-and-9 with a 4.18 ERA through 29 games.
