A woman is asking for $250,000 dollars in compensation after hot beans spilled in her lap at a McAllen restaurant drive-thru. The lawsuit claims Valerie Barajas was burned in several places when the container of beans fell through the bottom of a bag at Poncho's Mexico Nuevo Restaurant. She claims the restaurant was negligent and that it failed to take proper care when giving her hot food. Lawyers for the restaurant claim Barajas failed to take proper action to avoid being hurt while handling her order.
