The US Supreme Court has extended a stay on a Texas law that would allow police to arrest those they suspect crossed the border illegally. The hold that Justice Samuel Alito originally put in place would have expired tomorrow. The new hold is in place until at least this coming Monday. The law was ruled unconstitutional last month by a federal judge, but an appeals court stayed that ruling, prompting the Justice Department to ask the Supreme Court to intervene.
