The wildfire in the Texas Panhandle is now the largest in the state's history. The Smokehouse Creek Fire has burned over one million acres and is only 3% contained. Texas A-and-M Forest Service said the blaze has combined with another wildfire as well. This comes as one person has been killed as a result of the fires. Texas has raised its fire preparedness level to three, which means outside help from other regions or states may be required to fight the flames. In all, more than a million acres have burned this week in wildfires throughout Texas.
