The Stars suffered an overtime loss on home ice. Dallas fell to the New York Islanders 3-2 at the American Airlines Center. Matt Duchene and Logan Stankoven lit the lamp in the losing effort. It was Stankoven's first career goal in just his second career NHL game. Scott Wedgewood made 25 saves in net. The Stars remain atop the Central Division at 35-16-and-9. They visit the Colorado Avalanche tonight.
