The University of Texas is set to reward its head football coach with a contract extension. Longhorns coach Steve Sarkisian is set to receive a new deal that will nearly double his annual compensation to more than $10 million per season through 2030. The board of regents will consider the contract at scheduled meetings on Wednesday and Thursday. Under the terms of the proposed agreement, Sarkisian would earn $10.3 million in 2024 and receive a pay increase of $100,000 in each of the next six years.
