Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery Expands By 43 Acres

Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery can provide veteran memorial care until at least 2045 following a recent 43-acre expansion. The new space will have room for six-thousand more burial plots, 24-thousand double crypts, and 13-thousand niches for cremated remains. The cemetery was established in 1937 and serves as the final resting place for more than 182-thousand vets and their eligible family members.
