Gov. Greg Abbott says he's still waiting for a response to several letters he's sent to the White House with suggestions about the southern border. Speaking on Fox News Sunday, Abbott said he even personally handed letters to President Biden and Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas when they visited El Paso. The Republican governor faces criticism from Democratic mayors of "sanctuary cities" for sending them busloads of illegal immigrants. Mayorkas is scheduled to visit Eagle Pass today.
