The Federal Aviation Administration is ordering the temporary grounding of some Boeing 737 Max 9 planes after a panel on an aircraft blew out during a flight on Friday. The FAA said Saturday it will require immediate inspections on more than 170 of the aircraft worldwide to ensure safety. The agency took the action after a cabin window blew out on an Alaska Airlines flight shortly after take-off. No serious injuries were reported among the plane's 174 passengers or six crew members. Pilots made an emergency landing in Portland, Oregon after the scare.
