McKinney police are investigating a case of "swatting" directed at Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and his wife. The police and fire departments responded on New Year's Day to a false report of a life-threatening situation at the couple's home. Paxton and his wife, state Sen. Angela Paxton, weren't home at the time. Paxton thanked the emergency personnel for their response. He blamed the situation on Speaker of the Texas House Dade Phelan and media outlets for doxxing his family by publicly posting their address.
