The San Antonio Police Department is reporting more than 90 DWI arrests over the holiday weekend. Officers arrested 93 suspected drunk drivers in San Antonio between Friday and Monday. Of those arrests, 51 are first-timers, while ten had been convicted of DWI at least twice before. Seven had a child in the car with them, four had an open container in their car, and ten had a blood alcohol content high enough to warrant more serious charges. Police arrested District 10 City Councilman Marc Whyte for DWI on Friday.
