The Texas Department of Public Safety task force policing the streets of Austin are pulling out on Saturday. DPS stated on Thursday that the troopers are being sent to the southern border. Gov. Greg Abbott signed a bill into law on Monday that allows state law enforcement officers to arrest, detain and deport people suspected of crossing the Texas-Mexico border illegally. Tens of thousands of illegals crossed the border this week, prompting the Border Patrol to close international rail crossings in El Paso and Eagle Pass on Monday.
