A man is in custody after reportedly admitting to San Antonio police that he shot and killed his girlfriend. Officers responded around 9:30 p.m. Friday to an apartment on North Loop 1604 West and found a 21-year-old woman with a fatal gunshot wound to the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say 22-year-old Donevyn Bowie surrendered without incident and is charged with murder. The motive for the shooting is unknown. The victim's name hasn't been released.
