Texas Democrats in the U.S. House are resisting the White House's possible embrace of Republicans' Trump-era border policies. The White House is requesting aid for Ukraine and Israel, adding border security upgrades to attract GOP support. But Republicans are calling for more border security than the White House offered, and some Hispanic Democrats are worried that the administration may give in. On Wednesday, U.S. Reps. Joaquin Castro of San Antonio, Greg Casar of Austin, Sylvia Garcia of Houston, and Veronica Escobar of El Paso said no way.
