Plans to turn an abandoned West Side warehouse into a transportation hub are on the back burner for now. VIA Transit and the developer DreamOn announced on Wednesday that they'd agreed to end their partnership because of adverse market pressures. VIA and DreamOn signed an agreement earlier this year to redevelop the Scobey Warehouse alongside the Centro Plaza hub. The transit agency said the plan would attract jobs, improve safety, and spur investment. VIA said it will probably revisit the idea once the market improves.
