A development company is suing San Antonio and Toyota over a 20-year-old agreement between the city and the automaker. Southside Affordable Development LLC filed suit on Monday, claiming the agreement is unconstitutional and allows the improper taking of private property. The 2003 agreement gives Toyota the right to approve zoning changes for all property within three-miles of its plant, including property that Toyota doesn't own. The plaintiff says the agreement is costing them millions of dollars.
