The Texas House will reportedly wrap up its work for the fourth special session on Tuesday, leaving some important Republican work unfinished. Unless House members make a last-minute push to approve them, measures won't pass that would increase school safety funding, create a new school choice program, and ensure that new property tax cuts and teacher pension raises won't be delayed by an election challenge. The Texas Senate approved the election challenge and school safety bills on Friday, along with a border wall bill.
