Austin Police say one of their officers was injured in a wreck on State Highway 71 near Austin Bergstrom International Airport.
Police say it appears the driver of the car that hit the officer was intoxicated and was taken into custody.
The officer was taken to a hospital for treatment. The extent of injuries has not been announced.
