The Texas Supreme Court is expected to rule by June in a case challenging the state's abortion ban. Twenty women are suing the state for being denied abortions despite complications during their pregnancies. Tuesday's hearing focused on the question of standing, or whether the plaintiffs have the legal right to bring their suit. The state claims that because the women aren't currently seeking abortions, the lawsuit isn't theirs to file. A lawyer with the Texas Attorney General's office says the plaintiffs should be suing their doctors.
