UTSA has announced that it will play a future home-and-home series of football games with San Jose State.
The Roadrunners and Spartans, members of the Mountain West Conference, will face off on Aug. 31, 2030, at the Alamodome and then meet again on Sept. 3, 2033, in San Jose, California.
The 2030 opener will mark the first time UTSA and San Jose State have met on the gridiron since Oct. 20, 2012, when the Spartans scored a 52-24 victory at the Alamodome when the two teams were members of the Western Athletic Conference.
The meeting also will give UTSA three non-conference games for the 2030 campaign, as the Roadrunners are scheduled to play at Texas State on Sept. 7 and at Texas on Sept. 14.
The 2033 matchup in San Jose is UTSA’s first game announced for that season.
