SpaceX is targeting Friday for its second orbital test flight of the Starship prototype. The company announced on social media that the Starship-Super Heavy rocket could lift off from South Texas on Friday morning after the FAA gave license authorization for the launch. The FAA says it determined SpaceX met all safety, environmental, policy and financial responsibility requirements.

There is a two hour launch window beginning at 7 a.m. on Friday. If it does not launch, it could potentially launch later in the weekend.

Cameron County announced a closure of Boca Chica Beach and the highway leading to the launch facility on Friday, extending to Saturday and Sunday if the launch is delayed.
