San Antonio's first gun exchange program will allow residents to swap their guns for HEB gift cards this coming Sunday. City Council member John Courage and a local domestic violence nonprofit are backing the program. Courage insists the event is an exchange program, not a gun buyback. He hopes to get as many as 500 guns off the street. The HEB gift cards will be for 50-dollars to 300-dollars, depending on the type and condition of gun being exchanged. The event starts at noon on Sunday at the Alamodome.
