The Texas Longhorns are gearing up to take on Iowa State on Saturday night after holding off a second-half rally by TCU for a 29-26 win last weekend.
In his Monday news conference, Head Coach Steve Sarkisian said he was "really impressed with our team in the way that we played for about three quarters. I thought the energy, the mental intensity, the way we took the field not being effected by the crowd and playing our brand, our style of football really showed through."
"The fourth quarter we didn't play very good football and that starts with our ability to continue to motivate the players to have the right mental intensity," said Sarkisian.
The Longhorns are now 9-1 this season and sit alone atop the Big 12 standings. Texas will travel to Ames, Iowa to take on Iowa State on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 7 p.m.
