At least seven people are dead in a highway crash in South Texas involving a chase with a human smuggler. At least four of the deceased are suspected illegal immigrants who were being smuggled. It happened early this morning on a stretch of road between San Antonio and Eagle Pass. The Texas Department of Public Safety says that a small Honda full of people was being chased by the sheriffs. The driver tried to pass an 18-wheeler and ran head-first into a small SUV that burst into flames, killing a driver and passenger from Georgia.
