The city of San Antonio may revisit its ordinance on the regulation of short-term rentals such as Airbnb and Vrbo. City rules for STRs have been in place since 2018, including the permit process and the violations that could result in the revocation of a property's permit. City staff told the Planning and Community Development Committee on Thursday that there are more than 3,200 STRs in the city, but there may be another 1,500 operating without a permit. The committee said a review of the ordinance is in order.
