The Rangers are looking to move one win closer towards a trip to the World Series.
Texas will host the reigning champion Houston Astros for Game Three of the American League Championship Series on Wednesday. The two teams will take the diamond at Globe Life Field after the Rangers won both games in Houston to start the ALCS.
Texas will send right-hander Max Scherzer to the mound for Game Three. He will start opposite Houston right-hander Cristian Javier. Scherzer is making his first start since September 12th, when the three-time Cy Young Award winner left an outing due to a strained muscle in his upper arm. Javier is 1-and-0 this postseason after he tossed five shutout innings in a win over the Minnesota Twins in the ALDS.
The Rangers are 7-and-0 this postseason and searching for their first AL pennant since 2011. The Astros are looking to pick up a crucial win and move towards their second straight World Series title.
